About Rose Lantern

Rose Lantern is a growing resource for film students. It aims to provide relevant information for potential film students, as well as the ones who are already in the process of becoming filmmakers. There is a conscious effort made to help bring together a compendium of free resources (or next to free) such as screenwriting software, online screenplay libraries, and the like.

Along with the film student resources available RL also provides a growing list of film reviews, which hopefully with the help of visitors, can grow to be a collection of thought coming from the new generation of filmmakers, who are still in the process of learning.

It's great to learn, but surely you are asking when and where you can put the things that you have learned about filmmaking to test…to actually practice. On the 'Jobs & Internships' page, there is a growing collection of resources for students, and graduates to find leads for film industry jobs as well as film industry internships.

Rose lantern is designed, and operated by one person (Mr. V), who can really use the help and input from the site's visitors; that is the only way to improve the quality of the site, and to make RL into a truly useful destination for film students near and far.
